A scaffolding structure at a Jordan building became dislodged and was left hanging precariously early on Tuesday, prompting firefighters to remove it.
The incident occurred at around midnight at Pak On Building on Austin Road, where a 1.5-metre by 1.5-metre scaffold had been erected on the first floor for an air-conditioner replacement project. The structure shifted and was left dangling, with the tenant alerting the landlord who then called police.
Firefighters used a ladder to dismantle the scaffolding. It is understood the scaffold had been set up on Monday morning and had not yet been removed. A passing vehicle may have struck the supporting frame, causing the shift. No injuries were reported.
One lane towards Hung Hom was temporarily closed during the operation.
