16 women arrested in Mong Kok anti-illegal worker operation

Police and Immigration Department officers arrested 16 women during a cross-department anti-illegal immigrant and illegal worker operation in Mong Kok on Tuesday, authorities said.

Officers raided multiple locations under Operation CHAMPION following intelligence and investigations.

Fifteen mainland Chinese women and one foreign woman, aged between 30 and 63, were arrested on suspicion of breach of conditions of stay. One of the mainland women was also arrested for possessing a false instrument.

All are being detained for investigation and will be handed over to relevant departments.
