An ambulance overturned after colliding with a private car at the junction of Cheung Sha Wan Road and Tonkin Street late on Thursday night, leaving three people injured as passers-by rushed to assist at the scene.

The incident occurred around 11pm. The ambulance was traveling along Tonkin Street towards Caritas Medical Centre when it was struck by a private car heading along Cheung Sha Wan Road towards Mong Kok at a traffic light junction.
The impact caused the ambulance to overturn, blocking half the road. The private car sustained severe front-end damage. The ambulance was on its way to a call and was not carrying any patients at the time.

Three people were confirmed injured: two ambulance crew members and one passenger from the private car. All sustained minor injuries and were conscious. The private car driver failed a roadside breathalyzer test and refused hospital treatment. He was traveling with two female passengers.
Online images showed debris scattered across the road, with members of the public rushing to help at the scene. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
