(Video) Car engulfed in flames on Tuen Mun Road

A private car was engulfed in flames on Tuen Mun Road on Tuesday afternoon (Mar 3), sending thick black smoke billowing into the sky and forcing partial lane closures.

The incident occurred at around 2pm on the Yuen Long-bound carriageway near a petrol station. Images circulating online showed the white vehicle consumed by a fierce blaze, with flames tearing through the cabin.

The female driver managed to escape in time. No injuries were reported.

The Transport Department said that due to a vehicle fire, some lanes on the Yuen Long-bound carriageway near Tsing Tin Interchange have been temporarily closed.
