Police arrest 5 men in Mong Kok anti-crime operation

Police arrested five men during an anti-crime operation in Mong Kok on Wednesday.

Officers from the Mong Kok district operations unit, anti-triad squad, and licensing office inspected 16 premises and stopped 284 men and 201 women for checks under operation "LEVINGTON."

The arrests were made at an arcade on Argyle Street, a mahjong parlour on Fa Yuen Street, and a billiard room on Sai Yee Street. Those detained, aged between 26 and 41, include one mainland Chinese man and four local men.

Three men were arrested for "failing to carry identity documents when going out," one was found to be a wanted person, and one was suspected of "overstaying."
