Woman robbed at knife-point by man posing as client in Mong Kok flat

A woman was robbed of HK$1,400 in cash by a man posing as a client at a Mong Kok flat on Sunday afternoon.

Police received a report around 4pm from the 46-year-old woman, who said a man threatened her with a sharp object at a unit in Kin Hing Building on Argyle Street. He then took the cash and fled. The woman was not injured and did not require hospital treatment.

Initial investigations revealed the man initially gave the woman HK$500 to gain entry. Once inside, he reportedly grabbed her neck, threatened her with the weapon, took back the HK$500 and then stole another $900 from her bag before escaping.

The case is being investigated by the Mong Kok District Criminal Investigation Team.
