A mainland couple camping next to an open drain in Sai Kung prompted a resident to call police, who advised them to leave.
Police received a report at 7.02pm on Sunday from a resident of Tseng Lan Shue village about two people camping near Sam Long village. Officers found a 61-year-old man and a 62-year-old woman with two-way permits who said they were hikers resting along the Wilson Trail.
Their yellow and green tents were set up by the drain without cooking. After police advice, they left. The case was logged as a nuisance complaint.
