A 34-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking on Tuesday afternoon after police found ketamine and cocaine in two private cars at a residential carpark in Tsuen Wan.
Officers from the Tsuen Wan police district special duties team spotted the man acting suspiciously while moving items from the boot of one vehicle to another. A search uncovered about 27 grammes of suspected ketamine and 23 grammes of suspected cocaine, with an estimated street value of HK$26,000.
The man is being detained for investigation. Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, trafficking carries a maximum penalty of HK$5 million and life imprisonment.
