Police probe death of man recovered from Shau Kei Wan waters

An unidentified man was found dead on Monday after being pulled from the water near the Shau Kei Wan Typhoon Shelter.

Police received a report at about 2.34pm that a man was floating motionlessly in the sea. Rescue personnel rushed to the scene and retrieved him, but he was pronounced dead after examination.

Officers later covered the body with a tent. Police said they are investigating the man’s identity and how he came to be in the water.
