ImmD crackdown targets moonlighting domestic helpers arresting 17

A man has been arrested after allegedly wielding a knife and injuring a pedestrian outside a Tsing Yi shopping mall early Thursday.
Police received multiple reports around 1am about a approximately 40-year-old Chinese man in black shirt and jeans shouting loudly and brandishing a sharp object near Cheung Fat Plaza.
Counter-terrorism response unit officers equipped with shields and protective gear located the suspect near the bus terminus and subdued him. The man was handcuffed and taken to hospital for assessment.





A approximately 30-year-old male pedestrian sustained cuts to his left ear and hand from the knife attack and was transported to hospital for treatment.
Police recovered a one-foot-long Western-style kitchen knife at the scene and are investigating the incident.
