Lorry driver flees after collision with bus in Causeway Bay, suspected drug paraphernalia found in vehicle

A case involving a lorry driver suspected of drug possession occurred in Causeway Bay. Around 7pm on Wednesday, a KMB bus route 170 was traveling eastbound on Hennessy Road and approaching the bus stop near 439-445 Hennessy Road when a following lorry failed to brake in time and collided with the bus's rear.

No one on the bus was injured in the accident. The bus driver reported to his company and sought police assistance. The lorry driver immediately abandoned the vehicle and fled upon seeing the situation.

Police officers arrived at the scene after receiving the report. During investigation, officers found a suspected ice pipe containing suspicious liquid in the lorry, suspecting someone was involved in drug offenses. A drug detection dog was subsequently called to the scene for further search.
