A man was stabbed in the waist by an unknown assailant in Sai Wan on Tuesday night (Oct 28).

Police received a report around 9pm from a man in his 40s, who said he was attacked outside Exit B1 of MTR HKU Station by a stranger wielding a knife. The assailant fled the scene after the attack.
Paramedics arrived shortly afterward and found the victim conscious but bleeding heavily, with a large pool of blood on the ground. He was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital for treatment.
Officers cordoned off the area for investigation and are searching for the suspect.
