Pottinger Street remains fully closed between Des Voeux Road Central and Connaught Road Central

The registered building professionals and registered contractors for the Grade 3 fire at Chinachem Tower on Connaught Road Central in Central on Saturday afternoon have arranged to commence necessary clearance work.

The Transport Department stated that due to emergency repairs, Pottinger Street between Des Voeux Road Central and Connaught Road Central remains fully closed. The Transport Department will continue to maintain close communication with the police and relevant departments, monitor the traffic situation, and issue traffic updates as appropriate.

The Department indicated that affected by the road closure, motorists should pay attention to temporary traffic signs, consider using alternative roads, and follow the instructions of police officers on site. Franchised bus routes are not affected.
