Lantau Yacht Club in Hong Kong launched Festa Nautica 2025 on Saturday, a three-day boat show that attracted a lively crowd of yachting enthusiasts, industry professionals, and regional visitors, particularly from the Greater Bay Area.
The opening ceremony, attended by prominent figures including the chairman of the Hong Kong Tourism Board, Peter Lam; the chairman of HKR International Limited, Victor Cha; and executives from HKR International Limited and CITIC Pacific Properties as well as yachting industry leaders, marked the start of a dynamic celebration of maritime culture.
The event aligns with recent government initiatives outlined in the 2025 Policy Address to develop the yacht economy through enhanced infrastructure and tourism promotion, aiming to position Hong Kong as a leading yachting hub in Asia.
The exhibition showcased 30 yachts from top international and Chinese brands, including Absolute, Azimut, Ferretti, Sunseeker, and Lagoon, alongside superyachts represented by Burgess and Camper & Nicholsons.
Visitors explored cutting-edge marine engineering and electronics from companies like Grandtech International Engineering and Express Marine Electronics, while DCH Marina provided shuttle services on a Saxdor 400 GTC yacht and MSA organized sea trials with COX engines.
The show floor buzzed with activity as attendees engaged with exhibitors, expressing strong interest in new models like the Sunseeker Ocean 90 Enclosed, reflecting the event’s role as a key platform for industry connections.
A seminar on the yacht economy’s potential brought together over ten Greater Bay Area industry leaders to discuss cross-border collaboration and industrial upgrades, emphasizing the “yacht + tourism” concept to support government goals.
The participation of the Zhuhai Jinwan Yacht Industry Development Association opened new avenues for cooperation in marine services, including repair, refit, and recreation, strengthening ties across the region.
InvestHK highlighted the event’s significance in attracting high-value investments to enhance Hong Kong’s yachting ecosystem.
Beyond the yachts, Festa Nautica offered a rich lifestyle experience, featuring luxury displays of Jacob & Co. timepieces and Rolls-Royce vehicles, alongside culinary offerings from establishments like Caffè Napoli and Peony Chinese Restaurant.
Interactive attractions, including a cigar lounge, high-fidelity sound zones, drone experiences, pickleball activities, golf putting games, and an outdoor ice rink, created a festive atmosphere that appealed to a wide audience.
With two days remaining, the event continues to draw visitors eager to explore the yachts and immerse themselves in the vibrant maritime and lifestyle offerings, reinforcing Hong Kong’s growing prominence in the global yachting scene.
