The incident occurred at the depot on Sai Lau Kok Road at 9.42am. Emergency services were called to the scene after reports of a strong burning smell coming from the facility.
Firefighters rushed to the scene and extinguished the source of the smoke. An initial investigation determined that an overheated television within the depot had caught fire, causing it to emit smoke.
As a safety precaution, all personnel in the immediate area, totaling about 150 individuals, were evacuated from the building.
The evacuees were permitted to return to their workstations once the all-clear was given. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported.
