The WATERBOMB 2025 Hong Kong music festival, originally scheduled for October 4-5 at Central Harbourfront Event Space, has been abruptly postponed.
Organizers announced the decision on Wednesday, citing potential strong winds and possible tropical cyclone signals forecast by the Hong Kong Observatory during the event period. The statement emphasized prioritizing the safety of audiences, artists, and staff.
The festival had previously announced a lineup including Korean stars RAIN, Kwon Eun-bi, NCT 127, Kep1er, Japanese dance group Avantgardey, and Hong Kong's Anson Lo from MIRROR.

The last-minute postponement, occurring just three days before the scheduled opening, sparked widespread criticism online. Many social media users questioned the timing, suggesting reasons beyond weather conditions might have influenced the decision.
Organizers confirmed that purchased tickets would receive full refunds according to respective ticketing platform regulations, with details about rescheduled dates to be announced later.
