Two arrested in Kwai Chung anti-crime operation for drug possession, outstanding warrant

Police arrested an 18-year-old man for possessing suspected cannabis and a 48-year-old wanted man during an anti-crime operation in Kwai Chung's public housing estates and industrial areas on Saturday.

The New Territories South police tactical unit, in collaboration with the New Territories South emergency unit and the Kwai Chung district police, conducted an anti-crime operation codenamed "ARROWFLASH" in public housing estates and industrial areas of Kwai Chung.

During the operation, officers stopped and searched an 18-year-old local man in the Kwai Chung industrial area, where they found a small amount of suspected cannabis in his possession. 

The man was arrested for "possession of dangerous drugs." Additionally, a 48-year-old local man, who was a wanted person, was arrested in Kwai Chung Estate.

Both suspects are currently detained for further investigation.
