HK Leader honors fatherhood with precious grand-moments on Father’s Day

As families gather to celebrate Father’s Day, Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu shared a heartfelt moment with his grandson on social media,  shining a spotlight on the invaluable guidance, love and support of all father figures.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, the city leader reflected on the challenges of balancing his schedule with his family during his years of service at the office, expressing gratitude for their understanding.

“Their support and consideration leave me free of worries to work for the well-being of the public and to build a brighter future for the citizens,” Lee wrote.

In reflecting on his transition from father to grandfather, Lee shared that his interactions with his grandsons represent some of his most valued experiences. 

Lee highlighted the significance of seemingly minor interactions—such as engaging in conversation, reading bedtime stories, and teaching literacy and drawing skills—as essential contributors to fostering familial relationships and imparting wisdom.
