Man shot by police at Pearson Airport in Toronto

A 30-year-old man was shot dead by police at Pearson Airport in Toronto, Canada, on Thursday morning.
The shooting happened just before 7am local time at Terminal 1 Departures area, and three officers fired their guns at the man, according to Global News. 

The officers were uninjured.

"Officers located the man and early information received indicates he produced a firearm," Ontario's Special Investigations Unit (SIU) said.

Police stated that it was an isolated incident and that there were no known threats to public safety.

The Airport said flights continue to operate normally, but the roadway to Terminal 1 Departures remains closed for investigation.
