The Education Bureau pledged on Thursday to vigorously promote Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and digital education.
Speaking at an event related to aerospace, Edith Tse Yuen-ching, Principal Assistant Secretary (Curriculum Support), noted that the authorities aim to nurture students' interest and capabilities in innovation and technology from an early age.
The Bureau will establish dedicated science subjects in the primary education curriculum and incorporate Earth and space science modules across both primary and secondary education.
She added that the initiative aims to enrich students' aerospace literacy and foster greater awareness of the nation's scientific innovations and achievements in aerospace science and technology.
In addition, Tse highlighted a pilot program in junior secondary science to support schools in integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into learning and teaching, thereby strengthening AI education.
