A horde of bus enthusiasts was spotted rushing onto the road in Tseung Kwan O to get the perfect shot of a passing bus on Sunday morning, prompting the bus driver to alert the police for assistance and leading to online criticisms.

Videos circulating online show nearly 50 bus fans darting onto the road while a Citybus X797 double-decker bus was approaching, with some traversing through the median lane for better shooting angles.
The crowd briefly blocked two lanes of traffic. Fortunately, no vehicles were approaching at the time.
Police confirmed receiving a report around 11am on Sunday (Apr 13) about a group of bus fanatics dashing onto the road near the entrance of Hang Hau Man Kuk Lane Park on Chiu Shun Road.
Upon arrival, the officers advised the fans to return to the sidewalk, categorizing the case as a traffic complaint.
The behavior of the bus fans sparked outrage online, with critics noting that their actions could endanger other road users and passengers, highlighting some individuals even seen lying on the ground at the bus stops for snapshots.
According to reports, the Citybus X797 route was specially arranged to connect the Tiu Keng Leng Station and the Fire and Ambulance Services Academy for an open-day event.
The bus service from Tiu Keng Leng Station runs from 8.10am to 2pm, while departures from the Fire and Ambulance Services Academy are from 11.30 to 5.40pm.
