Hong Kong Express Airways has announced the introduction of exclusive direct flights from Hong Kong to Yiwu in Zhejiang Province, set to commence on May 29. This new route will operate three times a week, significantly easing travel between these two dynamic locations.
The direct flights to Yiwu Airport (YIW) will allow passengers to reach the bustling city in just two hours. Known for its unique blend of modernity and rich cultural heritage, Yiwu is a hub of business opportunities and is home to one of the world's largest wholesale markets, the Yiwu International Trade City.
In celebration of the new route, HK Express is offering a special promotion on all flights to the mainland destinations. For a limited time, travelers can enjoy one-way fares as low as HK$88 under the "Ultra Lite" fare, which includes one small personal item. Tickets can be booked from 3pm on March 31 until 11.45pm on April 2 through the HK Express website or mobile app.
The applicable travel dates for Beijing, Ningbo, and Sanya are from April 14, 2025, to October 25, 2025. For the new Yiwu route, the applicable travel dates are from May 29, 2025, to October 25, 2025.
Yiwu's attractions extend beyond its market. Visitors can explore Fotang Town, known for its spiritual heritage, ascend the historic Jiming Pavilion, or enjoy local flavors at the Santinglu Night Market. Additionally, the nearby Hengdian World Studios, often referred to as China’s "Hollywood," offers live performances, themed amusement parks, and film workshops, providing entertainment for all ages.
Travelers interested in these new services can visit the HK Express official website, use their mobile app, or access their WeChat mini-program for bookings and more information.
This new route promises to open up more opportunities for business and leisure, making Yiwu an accessible destination for an unforgettable journey.
