St. Paul's College student died by suicide during Hangzhou exchange program

St. Paul's College confirmed on Saturday that a form five student had passed away while participating in an exchange program in Hangzhou, with sources saying the boy had committed suicide by hanging himself.

The school updated the cover photo of its Facebook page at 1am today, changing the profile picture to plain black as a sign of mourning.

The school expressed deep regret and sadness on behalf of the entire school community, adding that it is still understanding the facts before making any statement.

The Education Bureau has also been reached for a comment.
