Cyclist airlifted to hospital after collapsing on Lo Fu Tau Country Trail

A male cyclist was airlifted to hospital after collapsing on Lo Fu Tau Country Trail near Discovery Bay on Monday morning.

A female hiker filed a report with the police at around 10am after she spotted the unconscious cyclist along the trail.

Rescue personnel were dispatched to the scene, while Government Flying Service helicopter was also called in.

The cyclist was airlifted to Eastern Hospital for resuscitation. He was put on automatic chest compression machine when arriving at the hospital.
