Its blooming season for cherry blossoms in Ma On Shan

Monday marks the arrival of Lichun, the Beginning of Spring and the first of the 24 solar terms on the Chinese lunar calendar. And to celebrate the occasion, a cherry blossom spot in Ma On Shan is starting to flower, transforming the area into a pink paradise.

The arrival of spring in Hong Kong brings forth a magnificent display of blooming flowers every year, and by far, the cherry blossoms are the most beloved.

A dozen cherry blossom trees are planted at the Hang Ming Street Sitting-out Area in Ma On Shan.

Netizens shared online today that the trees are starting to flower, inviting people to immerse themselves in a sea of pink.
