The 58th edition of the Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo, organized by the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong, opened at Victoria Park in Causeway Bay on Saturday and will run until January 6 next year.
Hundreds of bargain hunters were queuing up outside the venue this morning before the 11 am opening to get their hands on the free “fortune bags” distributed by the organizer, as well as limited deals offered by the vendors.
Acting Chief Executive Paul Chan Mo-po was among the first customers to shop, spending over HK$4,000 on goods including dried seafood and snacks. He also tried some cocktails at the expo.
The expo will open daily from 11 am to 9 pm between December 14 and 22, from 11 am to 8 pm between December 23 and 31, and back to 11 am to 9 pm between January 1 and 5. The closing hours will be 7 pm on its last day on January 6.
