An extended Marvel-themed area featuring a new attraction will be among the expansion plans of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, as announced by the chairman of Disney Experiences Josh D’Amaro.
Speaking at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, California, D’Amaro said the project will marks the third major addition to the Marvel-themed area in Tomorrowland and all-new entertainment, shopping and dining offerings will be provided.
According to the concept art of the attraction, which was unveiled for the first time, it will feature Spider-Man Peter Parker and visitors have to help him protect the new tech from the attention of formidable villains.
The park noted that following the immense popularity of its existing Marvel-themed experiences – including “Iron Man Experience” and “Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle!” that are available only at Hong Kong Disneyland – it will continue to bring to life more heroic Marvel stories through its unique and innovative storytelling.
Separately, an all-new thrill coaster with a Spider-Man theme will also be debuting at Shanghai Disneyland. As for the Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure, it will soon double in size as two brand new attractions will be added, with the construction on the expansion will begin in 2025.
