eMPF Platform goes live

The new centralized digital platform for Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme - "eMPF Platform" - officially commenced on Wednesday, with the first trustee successfully transferring the accounts' data.

The eMPF Platform will gradually replace the existing administrative systems of various MPF trustees, allowing scheme members and employers to benefit from the digital, automated, and one-stop advantages of managing their MPF accounts.

According to Ayesha Macpherson Lau, the chairwoman of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA), YF Life Trustees Limited has successfully transferred all account data of its MPF schemes to the new platform.

Lau called on employers participating in YF Life's MPF schemes to register with the eMPF as soon as possible and submit their June MPF contribution information and e-payments through the platform by the next contribution day on July 10.

She said the second trustee, China Life Trustees, will join the e-platform soon and encouraged scheme members and employers to register on the platform starting July 12 and start using the platform from July 29.
