Crane truck tips over in Kai Tak Sports Park construction site mishap

A mobile crane truck fell on its side on Friday at the Kai Tak Sports Park construction site, with its lifting arm forcefully crashing into the ground. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident. 

Around 2 pm today, a crane truck fell on its side at the Kai Tak Sports Park construction site on Shing Kai Road. 

The workers immediately contacted the police for assistance after witnessing the incident, and rescue workers arrived at the scene to investigate. 

No injuries have been reported. 

According to the photos online, the crane truck fell to the left with the right half hovering above the ground. 

A spokesperson for Kai Tak Sports Park said around 2 pm today a hydraulic crane suddenly overturned while preparing to lift in an enclosed area in accordance with safe construction procedures. 

The spokesperson confirmed no one was injured in the incident. 

The contractor is now investigating the cause of the incident.
