The FIE Foil World Cup will be held in Hong Kong next month, with a total of 60 local athletes participating.
Among the roster are Edgar Cheung Ka-long and Daphne Chan Nok-sze, who are aiming to use this event to sharpen themselves for the Olympics since qualifying for Paris 2024.
The World Cup will invite about 34 countries and regions to participate, and over 400 athletes are set to compete in the international event.
The world-ranking number one for men and women, Nick Itkin and Lee Kiefer, respectively, along with the winners of last year's World Cup, Italian fencers Tommaso Marini and Alice Volpi, will also be making their appearances.
The event will be divided into solo and group matches and will last from May 1 (Wed) to 4 (Sat) at the AsiaWorld Expo, with each ticket being sold at a price of HK$200 starting tomorrow (Apr 26).
Some malls and TV channels will also be livestreaming the event.
