De La Salle Secondary School students to retake test after paper leak

All secondary three students of De La Salle Secondary School, N.T. will have to retake an English test after the paper was leaked by a teacher.

The school's management committee said on Friday that the discovery came after a marker of the secondary three’s year-end English examination found certain students’ performance “unusual”.

The examination team later found the students’ learning materials similar to the examination paper, and have since alerted the school of their findings.

The committee said the school had assigned a taskforce to follow up on the incident and decided to have the students retake the exam to ensure fairness.

It also said the principal and vice principals of the school had met with the teacher involved and initial findings determined the teacher was in the wrong regarding the paper leak.

The result of the investigation will be handed over to the committee for a resolution, while the Education Bureau will also be kept in the loop, it added.
