Overturned crane truck leads to Lung Cheung Road closure

A crane truck crashed and overturned at around 5am on Tuesday, causing the closure of all eastbound lanes as well as the westbound fast lane of Lung Cheung Road for over 4 hours.

The crane truck traveling along Lung Cheung Road towards Kwun Tong crashed and overturned near a flyover at Choi Hung Estate.

The driver was trapped for a while but managed to free himself; he suffered only minor injuries and refused to go to the hospital.

As the accident happened during the morning rush hour, there was heavy traffic congestion, and several buses needed to be rerouted.

The westbound fast lane of Lung Cheung Road re-opened at around 8.50am. The overturned crane truck was removed at approximately 9.15am, and traffic gradually resumed.
