HKDSE English oral exams to be canceled for a third year

Hong Kong is set to announce the cancellation of this year’s HKDSE English oral exams due to the city’s epidemic, according to sources.

A press conference will be held by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority at 4pm Friday. It was understood that officials will make the announcement by then, along with the changes in the subject’s marks and weighting.

The English oral exam is set to make its comeback this year in March after having been cancelled for the last two years.

The Authority had earlier issued guidelines for candidates, requesting them to wear masks and observe a 1.1-meter distance during the oral exam.
