Authorities are investigating if a kindergarten teacher caught Covid-19 when she walked past two infected children at a Mei Foo MTR exit.

Genetic sequencing shows the 26-year-old teacher who lives in Mei Foo Sun Chuen carried the same strain as a 43-year-old woman who was suspected to have caught Covid-19 at a quarantine hotel.
Further investigation shows the teacher and two sons of the 43-year-old woman showed up at the same MTR exit – Mei Foo MTR exit A – nine seconds apart. The teacher was heading to work while the children were going to school.
All of them wore masks and did not have direct contact with each other, meaning if the teacher got infected there it would be air transmission.
Authorities on Thursday reported two more infections at Delia Memorial School (Broadway) in Mei Foo, who was a 58-year-old teacher and a secondary form one student.
A family member of a 16-year-old student who was confirmed with Covid-19 earlier got infected. He was a 14-year-old who studies in secondary form three of Hong Kong Management Association David Li Kwok Po College in Mong Kok.
Officials also warned that 20 buildings in Aberdeen will be subjected to mandatory testing after sewage samples came back positive. A 82-year-old man who lived in the district was infected today.
