Richer meals are provided in prisons during Lunar New Year

Richer meals have been provided to prisoners during Lunar New Year.

Over 7,000 prisoners got a chicken thigh and a tangerine last night, while vegetarians ate dried mushroom, straw mushroom, glass noodles and tangerine. 

On the first and second day of Lunar New Year, prisoners will also be provided extra food like braised vegetables, vegetable egg rolls, Chinese preserved sausage, and lamb.

To show care for prisoners, the Correctional Services Department would provide extra food in three festive period _ Lunar New Year, Mid-Autumn Festival and Christmas.
