Childcare centers to reopen later this month

The Social Welfare Department today announced that aided childcare centers and special childcare centers run by non-governmental organizations will reopen from September 29 in stages.

Aided centers providing daycare for children aged under three will gradually resume from September 29.

From mid-September, these centers may flexibly arrange for children to return.

Special childcare centers will resume half-day classroom training for upper classes from September 23 and other classes from September 29.

Centers are required to follow the guidelines issued by the Centre for Health Protection on infection control measures.
