Mox launches digital bank's insurance arm

Virtual bank Mox has launched its insurance business Mox Insure, with its first product being a personal accident insurance plan called Personal Accident Cushion.

The policy covers both local and overseas protection, offering up to HK$2 million in compensation for accidental death or permanent disability.

The basic option costs HK$20 per month and includes the first three months free.

The insurance product is a collaboration with QBE Hongkong & Shanghai Insurance, a subsidiary of QBE Insurance Group.

Mox said it will continue expanding its insurance portfolio to meet market demands.

Chief executive Barbaros Uygun described the product as a practical insurance solution designed for real-life needs.
