In an online program on Thursday, Johnny Tang Siu-chun clarified his startling revelation about an actress who was reportedly dating six affluent men simultaneously and subsequently faced an unexpected pregnancy. The previous disclosure led to widespread speculation among netizens, with many suggesting that Angie Cheong Wei-yee was the actress involved.
The conjecture was based on several clues pointing towards Cheong, such as her association with the same acting era as Kwong Wa, previous collaborations with Johnny Tang, her status as a non-Miss Hong Kong winner, being an unmarried mother, and her frequent roles in period dramas.
However, during a guest appearance on a Metro Broadcast show hosted by Nancy Sit Ka-yin, alongside Joyce Chan Yin-hang, Tang addressed these rumors.
He emphatically denied that Cheong was the subject of his earlier comments. "It's definitely not Angie Cheong. Tell her to call me! I'll apologize to her. I didn't say it was her. People assumed it was her, but there's nothing I can do. I can't control what people think," Tang clarified, hoping to set the record straight and alleviate any concerns from Cheong.
