The tech gauge rose 2.2 percent to 4,724.
Alibaba (9988) jumped 3 percent at the open, and Tencent (0700) went up 0.87 percent.
Oil majors gained on rising oil prices, with PetroChina (0857) and CNOOC (0883) increasing 1.7 percent and 2.1 percent, respectively.
