HSBC appoints Fred Lam as independent non-executive director

The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation has appointed Fred Lam Tin-fuk as an independent non-executive director, effective immediately. 

He will also serve as a member of the bank’s Remuneration Committee and Risk Management Committee.

Lam is currently chief executive of the Airport Authority Hong Kong.

HSBC said Lam’s leadership and extensive experience in global trade would help strengthen the group’s profitability.
