Laura Cha will step down from the board of HSBC immediately after the 2021 annual general meeting in May. She has served for nine years.

HSBC Group Chairman Mark Tucker thanked Cha “for the enormous contributions'' made to HSBC.
“We are now in the advanced stages of a search for suitable candidates to join and strengthen the board, and I will update further on the outcome of this search in due course,'' he said.
Sir Jonathan Symonds and Kathleen Casey retired from the board last year.
