Former TVB comedian Gill Mohindepaul Singh, known as Qbobo, has sparked laughter online with a creative solution to avoid the HK$5,000 fine for not wearing a seatbelt on buses.
The 55-year-old shared a photo on social media wearing a grey polo shirt with a black strap resembling a seatbelt slung across his torso from shoulder to waist. The strap, which appeared to be from a cross-body bag, featured a red buckle detail mimicking those found on buses and taxis.

He humorously captioned the post: "Safety belt uniform. The most secure in the entire universe! For taxis, minibuses, double-deckers. It can also prevent police from issuing a ticket. Turn around and show 'seatbelt fastened', officer will be stunned and give a like!"
Netizens praised his timely humor regarding the recent public discussion on seatbelt enforcement. Singh added a serious note, reminding everyone: "Do fasten your real seatbelt properly. This is purely for laughs."
The photo also showed a slimmer Singh, a marked contrast to his heavier appearance in last year's TVB drama "Homeland Guardian". He has previously openly acknowledged his weight gain, attributing it to careless eating habits.
Singh moved his family to Scotland in 2012 to better care for his younger son, who has a rare congenital spinal nerve condition.
