Jocelyn Choi Zung-sze, 32, granddaughter of the late seafood tycoon Choi Kai-yau, celebrated her birthday in grand style this week. She personally planned and decorated the party at her Peak residence.
The mansion’s living room was transformed into a small banquet hall, complete with a giant crystal chandelier. Long dining tables were set with white tablecloths and candelabras, while the terrace offered sweeping views over Hong Kong’s skyline. The home reportedly houses a collection of priceless antiques, paintings, and self-portraits.
Choi shared multiple clips and photos from the celebration on social media, saying she had failed 19 times before achieving the perfect shots. “From concept to execution, I did everything myself,” she wrote. “It was extremely rewarding to celebrate with close friends and family this year.”
The party featured a menu of prepared dishes, desserts, and drinks, all arranged by Choi and her staff.
Choi, daughter of Sunwah Group chairman Jonathan Choi Koon-shum, graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong’s English department and furthered her studies at the Beijing Film Academy. She entered the acting industry in 2019, appearing in her first film A Home With a View, and has also participated in several beauty pageants.
Last year, she married Japanese finance professional Michihiro Nakaguchi at the Four Seasons Hotel, sparing no expense.
