Cambodian police have arrested nine Chinese nationals in a telecom fraud raid at a villa in Koh Kong province, with the property rented from a local court official, according to local media.
The raid took place on Tuesday at a villa in Stung Veng village, Koh Kong city, where authorities seized 11 laptops and 49 mobile phones used in the scam operation.
The villa is owned by a Cambodian man named Bin Sreypov, an official at the provincial court's prosecutor office. It had been rented since November 2025 to Bai Rongfeng, a 37-year-old Chinese national holding a Chinese passport.
All nine suspects have been taken to the local police station for investigation.
