Musician in his 50s falls and injured in Carl Wong concert

A Carl Wong concert was temporarily suspended after a musician fell off the stage and got injured Saturday night.

Veteran musician Carl Wong Sheung-chun held his concert, "Carl Wong HATS ON Concert While the Music Lasts," yesterday (Mar 9) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Many singers, including Nicholas Tse, Juno Mak, "Jer" Lau Ying-ting, and Jeremy Lee Chun-kit, were among the many guests featured in the show.

Towards the end of the concert, around 9 p.m., a male musician in his 50s fell from the stage, was injured, and had to be sent to the hospital.

Due to the accident, the concert was suspended for a while, and there was also a broadcast on the scene stating that someone was injured but that it was not life-threatening and telling the audience that the performance would resume after an ambulance took him away.

Many audience members clapped their hands and cheered, and some shouted, "Add oil.".

The performance resumed after about 20 minutes.

The case was listed as an accidental injury, and no police assistance was required.
