Taiwan limits masks to three per person, makes 1.4m available

To better manage distribution of surgical face masks in Taiwan, all 4 million masks supplied per day will be disbursed by the government from today, according to the Centers for Disease Control.

About 1.4 million masks will be given to civil servants and medical personnel, with the remainder available for purchase at convenience stores, pharmacies and related suppliers, it said.

Every customer can buy up to three masks per purchase, through February 15, it said, noting that healthy people do not need to wear a mask.
