Xpeng’s first humanoid robot falls and fails to get up during debut in Shenzhen

Chinese automaker Xpeng (9868)’s first humanoid robot “Iron” unexpectedly fell down during its first offline debut at the MixC in Shenzhen Bay. Unable to get up on its own, it had to be carried away by staff personnel.

This incident contrasts sharply with previous controversies surrounding its overly realistic gait, which led to accusations of "human impersonation" of the robot. 

Chief executive He Xiaopeng commented, "It reminds me of all children learning to walk; they fall, but they get back up."
