A woman was escorted off an American Airlines flight in Florida after she refused to wear headphones while watching videos on her phone, leading to a confrontation with crew members and applause from fellow passengers.
The incident occurred on February 26 aboard a flight from Miami to Tampa. A fellow passenger filmed the altercation and shared it on TikTok.
In the video, the woman is seen arguing with flight attendants after they twice asked her to use headphones. "I played a video for 30 [expletive] seconds, at 50 percent sound, and that's the [expletive] reason you're kicking me off?" she shouted. When crew members tried to calm her, she continued yelling, "That sounds like a them problem" and dared them to call police.

The woman claimed she had stopped playing video when warned the second time. However, police were called and she was removed from the aircraft. During removal, she grabbed an officer's arm and shouted, "Can I not express my feelings? Is America not a free country?"
After she was taken off, passengers applauded and praised the crew's handling of the situation. "They handled it remarkably well, with great respect throughout," one passenger said.
