The Hong Kong Jockey Club has pledged a HK$10 million donation to pro-establishment group Hong Kong Community Anti-Coronavirus Link, convened by Bunny Chan Chung-bun, a Hong Kong deputy to the National People's Congress."I sincerely believe that through our joint efforts and our 'can-do' spirit, Hong Kong definitely can and will overcome this present crisis," he added.
HKJC said it is a response to the urgent and pressing need to fight the latest wave of the pandemic, which prompted the club to make the donation. "At this critical moment in the pandemic we must all join hands together, mobilizing our resources to help those in need," said HKJC chairman Philip Chen Nan-lok.

Members of the club's staff volunteer team have also volunteered to help out and are on standby to lend assistance as requested by the Agency for Volunteer Service.
The Hong Kong Community Anti-Coronavirus Link has previously handed out a million masks that the Shenzhen municipal government donated to Hong Kong to help tackle the shortage locally back in 2020.It also recently helped the government hand out rapid virus test kits.
