Former K-pop star Seungri has been convicted of dealing in prostitution and other charges and jailed for three years by a South Korean military court.Big Bang found fame after a 2006 debut and Seungri - real name Lee Seung Hyun - become a businessman. 
A few months short of completing two years of obligatory military service, the 30-year-old singer from boy band Big Bang, who quit showbusiness as the scandal mounted, was found guilty on nine counts against him.

But he was caught up in fixing sex services for potential investors as well as gambling in Las Vegas involving illicit money deals.
He arranged prostitutes for foreign investors on 24 occasions over five months from September 2015, investigators said.
And the scandal produced allegations against other musicians and personnel at YG Entertainment, Seungri's former agency and a top K-pop management firm.
